Practice Profile

We remain an intentionally small practice with a permanent professional staff of three architects (including the two partners, one of whom is also a planning co-ordinator), an architectural technician and an office administrator. We have a number of experienced architects and technicians who assist us when our workload requires it.

We enjoy strong links with a chartered structural and civil engineer and a quantity surveyor and regularly draw on the services of a number of specialist consultants.

Work is regularly undertaken on behalf of clients in relation to all aspects of building design, refurbishment and contract administration, and we frequently act as the client’s single point of contact with other disciplines.

The Practice is resident architect for the White Windows Cheshire Home establishment in Sowerby Bridge, where we have been involved with a capital expenditure programme of over £2m. We also have a continuing professional involvement with Age Concern Calderdale, Historic Restorations Ltd (a specialist developer of historic buildings), The Holdsworth Group (landlord over a large area of the Halifax town centre) and a great many domestic and business clients.

The partners have considerable experience going back over 30 years, covering new-build schemes, refurbishment and repairs, alterations and extensions.

We are equally involved in a wide range of works including private housing, apartments, offices, residential homes, disabled accommodation, dental practices, doctor’s surgeries, pubs, hotels, restaurants, community buildings, schools and colleges, churches, industrial, agricultural and commercial projects, land reclamation, historic buildings including historic analysis and restoration.

We have an on-going commitment to producing buildings which positively address environmental, economic and social sustainability issues.
